FlickStart Wearable Tab Help

The 'WEARABLE' tab shows a list of all the apps on the wearable. The tab also has some checkboxs you should fill in to match the way you have your wearable oriented on your wrist.

The tab is used to create or review commands attached to apps on the wearable.

What sort of commands are dealt with in this tab?

Commands which do nothing more than start an app are listed and created here. A command can be triggered either by a move of the handheld or the wearable, but the app started is in this list and is on the handheld.

More complex commands are created and reviewed from the 'TAGS' tab.

Commands created here are also visible in the 'TAGS' tab.

Apps which don't have a command attached to them (simple start commands that is) don't have a coloured background.

Why do some entries have a reddish background?

A reddish background on a line indicates the app on that line is targeted by a command.

If the command is currently inactive (doesn't respond to movements) the line has the reddish background. When the command is active, the background is greenish.

Apps which don't have a command attached to them (simple start commands that is) don't have a coloured background.

Why do some entries have a greenish background?

A greenish background on a line indicates the app on that line is targeted by a command.

If the command is currently active (will respond to movements) the line has the greenish background. When the command is inactive, the background is reddish.

Apps which don't have a command attached to them (simple start commands that is) don't have a coloured background.

How do do I create a new command?

Select the app you want started by a movement and tap on the line showing that app. A panel appears like the one below:

In the panel you need to fill in a tag name and a description for the command. If you plan on having only the one command in the tag the description and the tag name could be the same.

You also need to choose where the movement is going to come from when the app should be started. Choose either the handheld or the wearable as the source for the movement.

If you want the command active immediately, check the box at the top of the panel before saving the command.

Are the commands here related to other commands?

Yes, the commands here just need fewer items of information put in when creating them. All commands are visible from the 'TAGS' tab. Only the one created here are visible here.

How do I delete a command?

Find the tag that hold this command in the 'TAGS' tab and use the delete button available when you are editing tags.

Is it possible for multiple commands to target the one app?

Yes it is. For instance, sometimes you want an app started either by a handheld movement or a wearable movement. You would need two commands in such a case, each targeting the same app.

Only one command is visible from the current tab and you can't create additinal commands for the one app from here either.

Once you have created one command for an app in this tab, go to the 'TAGS' tab, find the tag which holds this command and copy the tag (assuming you want the commands in separate tags so you could activate them separately). Then edit the tag to suit (eg. select the wearable as the movement source).
